BUILDING STRENGTH WHERE THE FIGHT DEMANDS IT.

Large-format WAAM restoring speed, scale, and resilience to U.S. shipbuilding and defense manufacturing.

RESTORE SPEED TO SHIPBUILDING

SCALE AMERICAN METAL PRODUCTION

MODERNIZE THE DEFENSE INDUSTRIAL BASE

Radian Forge restores speed, scale, and resilience to U.S. defense manufacturing.

We build for naval, maritime, and defense applications, where traditional castings, forgings, and long machining cycles can’t keep pace. Our systems combine industrial robotics, advanced metal deposition, and real-time process monitoring to produce mission-critical components with full digital traceability and qualification-ready data.

Designed for shipyards, depots, and forward environments, Radian Forge enables certified metal production closer to where it’s needed, reducing lead times, easing supply-chain pressure, and strengthening fleet readiness.

WE BUILD WHERE THE MISSION DEMANDS IT.

Radian Forge Facility

WHAT IS WAAM?

Additive manufacturing is a digital production process that builds metal components layer by layer directly from validated design data. At Radian Forge, this means large-format Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) purpose-built for naval, maritime, and defense applications—where traditional castings, forgings, and long machining cycles fail to keep pace.

This approach enables faster production, reduces material waste, and enables the manufacture of mission-critical parts at scale, close to where they’re needed most.

  • Critical shipbuilding and defense components face 12–18 month lead times, delaying fleet readiness and sustainment.
  •  Over $30B in backlog across submarine and surface-fleet programs continues to compound delivery risk.
  • Domestic foundry capacity is shrinking, especially for bronze, Cu-Ni, alloy steels, and HY-80 / HY-100 materials.
  • Workforce shortages approaching 250,000 skilled trades by 2028 are eroding production capacity.
  • Material qualification and testing bottlenecks slow approval and delivery of mission-critical parts.
  • Shipyards and Tier 2/3 suppliers lack modern, high-throughput manufacturing for large, certified metal components.
  • Traditional castings, forgings, and long machining cycles cannot scale fast enough to meet operational demand.
  • Supply chains fail first in contested and forward environments, where waiting for stateside production isn’t an option.
  • Large-format, high-assurance WAAM dramatically reduces lead times for critical shipbuilding and defense components.
  • Rapid, near-net-shape production clears backlog pressure by accelerating part delivery without sacrificing quality.
  • Domestic, Navy-grade metal manufacturing restores capacity for bronze, Cu-Ni, alloy steels, and future HY-series materials.
  • Digitally driven production workflows reduce dependence on scarce skilled labor while increasing throughput.
  • Certification-ready process data and traceability streamline qualification, testing, and engineering approval.
  • Production systems designed for shipyards and Tier 2/3 suppliers, enabling scalable, modernized manufacturing where it’s needed most.
  • WAAM replaces long-cycle castings and forgings with faster, more flexible fabrication of large, complex components.
  • Deployable and shipyard-based manufacturing delivers parts at the point of need, at home, in the yard, or forward with the fleet

THE RADIAN FORGE DIFFERENCE

Radian Forge was founded by CEO Jeff Yeager, a service-disabled U.S. Marine and industrial manufacturing executive with deep experience in defense and maritime production.

Jeff’s background spans deployed sustainment operations and large-scale industrial leadership, giving him firsthand insight into what happens when supply chains fail and what it takes to fix them. That perspective shapes Radian Forge’s focus on speed, assurance, and deployable manufacturing built for real operational environments, not theoretical use cases.

Radian Forge is built by those who understand the mission and the manufacturing systems that support it.

OUR PARTNERS

“Radian Forge’s decision to expand in Hampton Roads highlights the region’s competitiveness, deep industry expertise, and long‑standing role in supporting our national security. Virginia’s workforce is prepared to meet the needs of our defense industry. Radian Forge’s expansion in Portsmouth will create good‑paying jobs in a community that is so integral to the strength of our Navy.”

ABIGAIL SPANBERGER, GOVERNOR, VA

“Portsmouth has always been a city that builds for the nation. Radian Forge represents the next evolution of that legacy. Their ability to pair advanced manufacturing technology with real-world maritime applications is exactly what this region was built for. This investment strengthens our industrial base, supports the fleet, and reinforces Hampton Roads as the center of America’s maritime strength.”
